I can get them written in one hour right now, but I don't like the result. I'm still using them as a study aid so I want to reinforce good habits while I have time. The Grand Poobahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07226524231756836464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559983208580788273.post-8866955741830119682007-06-14T22:48:00.000-07:002007-06-14T22:48:00.000-07:00Umm...don't you think you ought to limit yourself ...Umm...don't you think you ought to limit yourself to one hour? There's less than 6 weeks left. Just a thought. I am personally doing all the essays as though they are the real thing--closed book, one hour. How else will you get the practice?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559983208580788273.post-2667667886323245662007-06-14T08:23:00.000-07:002007-06-14T08:23:00.000-07:00Tht tutor tells me this is my problem as well(the ...Tht tutor tells me this is my problem as well(the perfectionist thing). You should try doing them closed book and just don't even peek until you're totally done. Pretend that you've got one hour to upload it to the Bar Examiners. **I do keep the mini-Conviser close by, in case I forget a rule statement!calbar blondiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17059781747527009243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559983208580788273.post-89329433154800841142007-06-14T00:05:00.000-07:002007-06-14T00:05:00.000-07:00Deft? Besides having just looked at it, I think I wrote it in school a couple of years ago.

What's slowing me down is that I'm doing these open book. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to make a more complete outline that includes a generic rule statement, then put the books away and just write the darn thing. Perfection is not required. Sometimes it sucks being an obsessive compulsive perfectionist. I wonder if the fact that I was born in September has anything to do with it.The Grand Poobahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07226524231756836464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559983208580788273.post-16738716014895236902007-06-13T19:46:00.000-07:002007-06-13T19:46:00.000-07:00GP: I did exactly the same thing for my crimpro es...GP: I did exactly the same thing for my crimpro essay earlier this week. It was actually really good for practicing rule statements and unfolding the law. I think it was question five from a 1990's bar essay; one that can be found in the barbri essay workbook. Deft and Officer Jones are the main characters.calbar blondiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17059781747527009243noreply@blogger.com
