Scared Straight

I want to extend my most heartfelt gratitude to The Blonde Blogger for scaring the crap out of me.

Pardon me now while I go change my underwear.

GP,

Well, reading that post was dejavu. I did EXACTLY what she did and failed. EXACTLY.

On the other hand, this being my third shot at the bar, i look at it as just another test. After i failed the first ( and second time), i still had a supportive family, still had great pass-on-the- first- attempt lawyer friends. The BigLaw firm where i work had attorneys came out of the woodwork, telling me that that it took them 2-3-4 time to get the ticket. I did not get fired.=)
Guess what GP? Take it with a grain of salt- not everyone is meant to pass on the first go- around. So what? In the big scheme of things, does it really matter whether you start practicing 6 months before or 6 months after?
Lastly, stay away from negative thoughts- they grow in the soil of uncertainty.

You will pass. =)

Hey Otto, Thanks for the perspective and the encouragement. I think what struck me about her story, and yours too apparently, is that a person can do all the right things, jump through all the hoops, sacrifice small animals at the altar of the bar gods, and still not pass.

That just freaks me out.

GP,

Well, perhaps a bit of luck doesn't hurt either. I haven't had any on both administrations. Perhaps i am due.
( or perhaps i should sacrifice a rodent in from of the law firm =)
