Well, it's about time!

All y'all have been talking about this big event that you've been invited to and I've been feeling left out because my invitation had yet to arrive. I was beginning to think you were going to go and have your party without me.

But I feel better now. My invitation came today. Thanks for inviting me. I'll be sure to attend. Please save me a seat. My menu preference is anything but Crow. And chocolate chip ice cream will be fine for dessert.

Count me in.

Finally! (sigh)

just wondering, did you get your moral character yet? Today I just got this one letter that said my file has been sent to the analyst. It's been 3-4 months!! just finally finished the prelim stages to the analyst?

I received my positive moral character determination in April. It took about 7 months to process and I had a boatload of stuff for them to go over. Remember, I'm 49 years old. There was a lot of history to review. I don't know if the time of year it's submitted has any bearing on how long it takes to process. I would guess that if a Bar Exam comes up while they're doing your investigation, that might cause a delay.

For what it's worth, I received the letter that it had been assigned to an analyst (or whatever) about four months before I received the final determination.

thanks,
hmm, 4 mo's more to wait. it could be possible one of my references totally lagged on turning in the questionaire.

Submitted mine early May..just received a letter, about 2 months later, saying they had *received* it (I know they received it a couple days after I sent it, b/c I did the return receipt thingy). So mine hasn't even been assigned to an analyst or whatever yet.

yeah...also, notice how they are super quick to cash the check. I think it's more of a business enterprise.

I received my acknowledgment letter about 45 days after I mailed the application. I think 6-9 months would be an average total time frame although I've heard of some people getting a 3-month turnaround.

Now that you have your ticket you can have the same nightmares that I keep having -- leaving it at home on Tuesday morning!

Mine is taped to the door of my study dungeon. The only way I'll forget it is if I go blind.
