I didn't pass either and took Lisa's course with you. Does she let you take it again?

Hey GP, I didn't pass either. This was my 5th time taking it. I really thought I had this time. I'm at a total loss now. I just want to give up on this whole thing. But I won't, and I urge you not to give up either. We will both conquer this damn exam!

GP: i'm so so so so SO SORRY! you totally can't let this get the best of you. so far none of my friends passed. sounds like the graders went apeshit crazy on grading this time with the economy and all.

GP,

CONGRATULATIONS OUR DEAR FRIEND, YOU FINALLY DID IT!!!

Now get out there and bring some humility, credibility and esteem, to this fallen profession.

As you can see bud, I was hoping and praying for you...

I am so so sorry. I was really hoping you would have made it. The whole grading process is so subjective anyway. For all I know, I might have passed July's exam by one point.

I passed the July 2008 exam and I still have not found a job. At least you have a job and a career that has provided for your family. The legal market is really bad right now for attorneys especially those who have no experience. People are suggesting that you work for free to get a job.

I do not know what else to say. You might have come really close. Do not give up. Do not give up. You WILL PASS.

I did pass. I just want to thank GP for the blog - it really helped me as an attorney applicant doing barbri all by myself to hook into this "community" during my studying and read about others lamenting. So, although you didn't pass, GP, take heart that you helped other me (and probably others) to do so.

Dear GP
DAMMIT! I am shocked, stunned, and disappointed. This can't be? The sad thing about not passing is that your whole family has to go through it with you and seeing them disappointed is heartbreaking.

Sorry you didn't pass. We are all here for you; this community you have created has become a safe haven for all of us.

Be well, and don't give up.

GP: It appears there was only around a mid 30% pass rate. What the hell? Just collect the money and fail the bulk of candidates? One can hardly call that a curve.

I did not pass either (2nd time).

It appears that the passing raw score for the written portion was 627.5 and 128 for the MBE.

Anonymous said...

If the raw score was 627.5, what is the average passing score for the essays and the PTs?

GP,

Sorry that you did not pass on your fourth time taking this stupid exam.

I also did not pass for the second time.

I for one am swearing to not making contact with this blog, until July 30, 2009 after 5pm.

Nothing good can come out of this accumulation of souls, that get on here before and after every exam and complain and make excuses as to why they did not pass again.

RULE OF LIFE: Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the TRUE definition of INSANITY.

So it falls in line with saying that continually checking this blog out and getting infected with all the negative energy will never produce a passing score.

Be a man and stay away from posting anything further until the next exam is over with and ONLY THAN you shall be ASSURED a PASSING grade in November.

I was rooting for you!!! Keep trying. Have you tried taking Barbri's writing course?

You bring hope and support to the whole community of bar applicants...

Keep your head up!

I'm so sorry, I've been following this awhile.

The February exam was my 6th try. And I finally did it! My advice is always to adjust based on your scores and keep trying.

So sorry to hear this. I read your blog off and on as I got discouraged from taking the CA bar for almost a year now after failing after try 5. I will try again, but needed the time off financially, emotionally and spiritually. Luckily I have another career as well to support myself in the meantime. Good luck to you and do not give up!

GP,

Success comes in many forms, as you can tell by this blog you have fundamentally changed people's lives, there are people who are sharing the amazing joy of accomplishing this exceedingly difficult task because of your kind words and encouragement.

I passed my first bar 10 years ago but did not pass the CA bar in July, your blog was spirtually uplifting as I prepared for the February brutalization. Fortunately i had a positive result--part of the credit for which goes to you.

I have tried over 30 jury trials and I thought this test was a true mother _ucker--but your time will come.

I know everyone is telling you what to do but I can tell you that I took MicroMash for the July bar and my raw score was 143--this program works.

If you are interested, I would like to help offset some of the costs if you want to try it. If your interested email me at mrfletcher@thefletcherfirm.com and we'll talk.

GP,

I passed the bar exam, and it was my 2nd try. I must thank you for this blog because it really helped me mentally prepare for this past exam. I wish you the best of luck in July!!!!

I am so sorry. But very glad to hear you're signing up again. Persistence does pay off, so hang in there.

Like another poster said, success comes in many forms. Thanks to your blog, which kept me sane, I passed in July of 08. It was my third try. I felt really alone and depressed at times and your blog helped me so much!!

I stopped by to check on you because, like so many others, you really made an impact on such a stressful and trying time in my life. I will be back in July to check again, and February too if that's what it takes. And you will do it!

You've got heart kid, and that's exactly what it takes! Good luck in July! *hugs*

ps. Mr. Fletcher sounds like such a nice guy. You should take him up on the offer. If I had a job, I'd go in on that too. Best of luck again!

I hope you take a break and some time to be good to yourself.

With kindest regards

That sucks. Please use Bar Graders this time. I could not have passed without them.

I'm so sorry GP! I had my fingers crossed for you. Please do not give up. I know it's hard right now, but you will pass this bar exam because you will not give up. You have the best attitude and that is a lot of what you need to start studying for the exam this summer. I will be praying for you! - VA bar girl

Thx guys !

@5:49 how are we supposed to recommend something to you? do you need MBE help, sign up with Micromash or Adaptibar. if you need classroom time and essay help/feedback, EssayAdvantage is fine.
