Ready! Set! ... Purge!
Purged the offensive comments, I did. And most of those related to it as well. Apologies if I deleted one of your comments that was otherwise innocuous.
Moderation is back on, but timeliness is not promised.

Thanks GP. I wish you well on your preparations for the next test in July.
I envy your MBE scores; you're close to having this thing beaten. I hope your practice writing goes well!
GP - Love you bro and hope that July is your time (and mine too!). Been following this blog for years. That said, I honestly found [he/she/it whom shall not name] kind of refreshing. Fun break from bar studying. It's your blog man and you can do what you want, but as a loyal reader I hope that you reconsider.
I feel like we are spending far too much time discussing stupid felines and not enough time discussing the 50 on the ethics essay. What's up with that GP?
Big question for Mr. Poobah - Is one type of question better? Going to practice one type? Can that help improve performance? Appreciate any response from u. Thanks!
I really think you might find it helpful to discuss your scores with your readers. People may have some concrete suggestions. For example, that 50 on ethics is inexcusable. You will never pass with 50s, and I know you can do much better. What went wrong?
I'm sure you will nail this exam, but I also agree a good discussion of your scores will help readers. You said you've "always done well on PR essays," but I just checked your July score -- 60. That is better than a 50, but it is still an incomplete grade. I know anon internet commentators (like me) can sound harsh once you've put yourself out there, so I expect you to be a bit guarded when it comes to dealing with us. I just hope you are honest with yourself when you look at your own performance so that you can make the requisite adjustments.
Anon 5:37: Yes, certainly. There's a good chance that I would have passed last time if one or two of the questions had been in different subjects, or if they had tested different issues in the subjects that they did test.
For example, I like Products Liability in Torts and almost anything they can test in Evidence. And even though I don't like them much, I feel like I was prepared for Civ Pro and Con Law.
On the other hand, I never do as well as I expect on Wills/Trusts & Community Property essays. I guess I don't respect them enough.
I'm usually pretty confident about Real Property and Corporations (Business Associations) essays, but I did poorly on the Property essay on the last exam, and I stunk up the PR essay when I usually do well on those.
So, yes, a different set of questions would have produced different results, but the same could be said of everyone taking the exam. Some who passed would have failed, and vice versa.
Everything is much better now GP. Loving the moderation function.
Going to be taking July CBX too. Answering questions all summer. Totally awesome summer fun! Only way to practice law though.
Going to read your blog regularly. Reading barbri too ... ha! Anyways, thanks GP. Nice job on the MBE btw. Don't give up. Effort will pay off one day!!
I passed after 15 tries. Yes 15. Always got within a 10 to 20 point margin but until number 15, I could never reach the top of the mountain. Many years of frustration but as long as the California Bar allowed me to retake the exam, I knew I had a chance of passing. I continued to gain experience in a law firm as a law clerk throughtout the process and so I was ready to practice once I achieved the license. Good luck GP. When you pass it will not matter how many times you took the exam. No one cares. The market will determine your success as a licensed attorney.
15 times. Can you give us details? What were your weak points and how exactly did you overcome them?
An aside: People often talk about analysis and use of the facts, but a burg hypo might only say that D looked through a window and saw a watch sitting on a table inside. He needed money and thought he could sell the watch, so he broke the glass, climbed in, grabbed the watch and fled. Based on these facts, analyze the element of intent required to convict for burglary.
This is a call to all readers: Perform the analysis on intent such that you would receive a 75-80. Note: You must fully analyze intent in one-two sentences only.
How would a passer respond? How would someone that failed respond? Very curious.
Big'ups GP for keeping this blog. I for one want to give him thx. Going for the pass in Jul for shizzle! Killing time w/ barbri, haha! I’m going to pass Timing is key Time flies though! You’ll master it. MBE is tough. Excellent work GP. On top of MBE! Would you share you strategy? Many of us would appreciate it. Everyone would! Ha! On to other subjects … Would u spend time on essays or PTs? Me, I like essays. Essays are my BFF. One answer isn’t right or wrong. Wrong answers on MBX scare me. But not you! LOL! On that note … Go get’ em GP! Stay on top of it. Put your nose to the grindstone. Own this exam! Take the July exam by storm! . . . C-ya GP Once November comes we’ll celebrate. Much awesomeness when we get the news.

Here's wish you luck this July GP. YOU WILL pass this exam.
Anon 10:23: I've always done well on PR essays so I'll have to wait until I get my answers back from the Bar before I can really answer that question.
But GP -
It's anon 5:37 again.
Going to ask my question again.
Could one improve w/ different ?'s
Answer would be appreciated.
Thanks! And good luck.

My goodness!
Every time for 15 times straight?
One cannot imagine that.
Wow! Just wow!
Mad props to the effort though.
Everyone should have such desire.
Only the strong do though.
Work hard, and good things come.
Really, really impressed.
Awesome job sticking with it!
Reinvested test style many times?
Read facts 1st or cases on PE?
What would you do?
!!
