Oh, Vile Civ Pro. Why dost I loathe thee so?

I haven't yet found a way to pick up my Civ Pro material. It's on my schedule but I always find something else to do when I see those two words staring back at me. I see "Civil Procedure", and my mind substitutes "Liver and Onions", "Peas and Brussels Sprouts", "Food Poisoning and Bacterial Pneumonia". I've had personal experience with all of those things and the memories, each and every one, are not good.

I suppose the bright side of it all is that I only have to expose myself again to one of them.

First thing tomorrow. Yep. That's the ticket.

Right now, I'm going to head out to the Ontario Convention Center to do some pre-exam reconnoitering. When I get back I'll try to look at my Civ Pro outline again. Promise.

I'll try to use some of the wisdom of Frank Herbert.

"It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion."

- and -

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

Can you tell us anything in particular that you noticed about the Ontario site? Good and bad.

It was pretty much what I expected. I've driven by there many times but I never looked around. My main concern was to find exactly where my hotel was and to ask them in person how early I could check in on Monday.

Someone took videos last year and posted them online. You can see them here: http://tinyurl.com/37yaf6

I took the Exam in Ontario on my first attempt. Stayed at the Ayres Suites right next door, which was perfect. Several classmates stayed at the Doubletree and liked that place, too. I thought the exam site was just fine for laptoppers. It's a nice, new convention center, and they have a cafe right there where you can buy lunch(with thousands of other takers)I'd say it's way better than Pasadena or LA convention centers in terms of comfort, lighting, etc.

I promised myself a caramel frappucino after reviewing/doing essay practice in Civpro this afternoon. Sound like a good incentive plan?

Sounds like a very practical, quick, sweet, tasty, incentive that's rationally related to a significant study plan interest.

My incentives are unpractical. I keep trying to find time to play a round of golf. And that's not going to happen until July 27th.
