Whatever happens tomorrow, it's just another day.

I go to bed tonight with the same weird peaceful calm that I think I had right before the exam. It's the calm that exists when one knows that there's nothing he can do to change his destiny. I think it's the same calm that's been sustaining me since the last week in July. I know that I've done all that I can do. It's out of my hands now.

I was going to try to write something inspirational tonight but I'm too tired. Besides, you all have done a great job of that with your comments. You've inspired me, anyway.

I suppose it's too much to expect that all of us pass, but it could happen. It could happen. Let's hope.

Best of luck to all tomorrow. Prayers all around.

TGP

I have lit scented candles in my office and put on some Yanni. I'm doing doc review - a great way to cleanse your mind of excessive thoughts.

Good luck GP! I'm with you -- I wish we could all pass. I wish this with all my heart!! =) That being said, it'll be okay either way!

Been checking up on your blog since July, and I've never posted a comment. So here goes: good luck!!!

Best of luck to you, GP - today thousands of hearts raising faster than your countdown clock - yikes! Happy Thanksgiving everyone regardless of result! Give thanks for those who pass and give thanks for those who will pass!

Biff: It sound like you’ve gotten a handle on the attorney life. Now all you need is a futon, an espresso machine, and the menus for all the local restaurants that deliver. And I understand that if you buy a minivan you can sublet your apartment. Because for the first couple of years, most new attorneys rarely see the inside of it anyway!

I hope you’ve reserved a spot on your wall next to your degree for your certificate from the State Bar and the CA Supreme Court! A couple of those little halogen spots would seem to be called for as well.

Blawgin: Thanks! Back at ya’! And I agree. It’ll be okay either way. I just want to know what I’ll be doing with my free time for the next three and a half months! It’ll be either Golf, or Bar Prep. I’m hoping for the former.

John: Did you sit in the back row at school like me? I don’t think I asked a serious question until late in my last year.

Anon: It’s a good thing that I don’t have high blood pressure! And right, you are. Thanks are definitely in order; for all involved.

Bar Daze: Thanks for hanging in there with us. With the CA results coming out after everyone else’s, I feel like the last kid picked for the football team at recess. It’s nice to know that someone East of Las Vegas is paying attention!

We are awaiting CA Bar results. Long day. I clicked on link ... am I reading that right? Are those the actual statistics for the results we are waiting for? Or old statistics ... it says Jul 2007 ... pretty scary only 56.1% passed! Yikes! The clock is great or not. Your blog helped me pass the time.

The Grand Poobah said...

Actually, 56.1% is high for California. The pass rate for July is usually around the 50% level. I won't mention the Feb pass rate.

Best of luck to everyone tonight. The waiting is almost over!!

I don't know why. Now, I actually feel pretty calm as well. It's exactly like what you said " I know that I've done all that I can do."

If I cannot make it with a 56% passing rate, it means I didn't do it right and there're lots of things I need to learn.

If I pass, I also realize that there are 4k-5k people who also passed. Thus, I need to be more diligent to stand out...

Yeah,,,,,,,

We are all fighterss. We fought through two tests, one is the bar exam test; the other is the test of waiting for 4 months.

After all the torture, what can't we do?............

Best luck to all; and let's celebrate no matter what it is.

GP, thanks for blogging all the way through and waiting for your passing news.

what is the actual process by which you learn if you have passed or not. I know today is the day. We'd like to recognize grand daughter but don't know when she will actually know. I know it is published to the public on Sunday but when should we expect her to know and how does she get results?

your grand daughter will be able to go to the site below at 6pm tonight and get her result. she will need to her file number and app number to get the result.

http://members.calbar.ca.gov/exam/

the published result will be out on Sun morning at the same site. i really suggest that you have your grand daugher contact you from Fri night till Sun morning instead of going after her for the result (because that's what i hope my grandma would do). = ) good luck to her!

Good Luck everyone - I am a long time reader-2nd time taker- and a big fan of the support that you have provided through this blog. I think this is my 2nd or 3rd post - but I want to make this one the important one to let all of you know that we dont even know each other - t least I dont know anyone who posts here - but I feel this blog has created a "family" over this exam and I am going to pray that the wind blew our way while our exams were being graded and we all can get on with your professional lives and NEVER forget the support we received from this blog.
