Of Course ...

... I still don't know whether the Office of Admissions accepted my late file.

More on Monday.

Do you mean they never received your essay?

They did receive it, but it was late. Read the posts and comments right after July 31, 2011 for the whole story.

When someone like you, who has struggled so much on this exam, suddenly finds the test easy (as your posts in July indicated) I found that as a red flag -even back then. It was "easy" for you cause you probably missed a lot of issues and overlooked abunch of stuff. You should hire a real good tutor to help you out. I'm not sure you can do it alone anymore...

Interesting statistical breakdown of passage rates:

Once again graduates of California ABA approved law shools passed at a 76% rate for first time takers. Yet we always hear that the Bar examiners are looking for a different approach then law school professors. Not sure if the statistics bear that out.

Maybe it was easy for GP but maybe also he didn't pass because they received his last essay late and didn't go to his score? You ever think about that?

The most telling stat regarding the difficulty of the CA Bar. Most states have a 70% out of state ABA repeater pass rate. CA has a 21% out of state ABA repeater pass rate.

I just passed the July 2011 exam but from what I have been hearing from people who failed, it seems like the graders were pretty harsh this time.

Everyone thought the essays were relatively easy and that the MBE was harder than any of the practice tests from Barbri. The graders probably made adjustments based on those factors.

I felt like I at least passed all the essays except for Civ Pro, but I know I completely failed the second performance test. It had to be my MBE score that kept me afloat.

Anyway, good luck GP, I hope your score gets counted and you pass with flying colors.

From what I understand the Bar Exam was quite difficult for all the States. .I do not think that was a coincident, I believe the exams are much more difficult to lower the passing percentage...

I hope that your essays are included and a revision gives you the pass..

Your perseverance is inspiring. Keep at it, you will pass, and all of this you've gone through will only make you a greater attorney.

Here's to hoping you pass the February exam. I'll be thinking of you.

I took the test in Ontario last July and passed. I still find myself checking the pass list to make extra sure that I passed. The statistic for non-lawyer repeaters was only 18%.

Had the pleasure to meet the Grand Poobah in person and I will continue to root for you.

Don't give up Grand Poobah - my captain!

You should have received your scores if oyou didn't pass. If you did, you should have received a letter on Saturday.

The mailman walks slower down here in SoCal. We don't get our scores until Monday.
